• To check out any material, you must have a valid Student ID.
• Students may check out up to 20 books for 28 days.
• Faculty and Staff may check out up to 25 books for the semester.
• Alumni may check out 10 books for 14 days.
• Loan periods for equipment, audiovisuals, and other supplies vary, please call, or ask at the Information Desk.
• The group study rooms and private study carrels (on the upper floor) are available on a first come first serve basis
• No food is allowed in the library; you may bring in water bottles or covered beverage containers.
• If you need to check out a book, please check the online catalog for its availability in advance. You can place a hold on it, email us or call us to hold it for you.
• We will hold books at the Information desk for 5 days.

Library instruction is provided during the fall semester through the Freshman Seminar experience. Sessions for subject specific classes are available throughout the academic year and during summer sessions. Numerous topics are covered including: circulation policies and procedures, and research strategies and resources (print and electronic). The librarians can assist in planning assignments, preparing the research paper, training for using the Internet and software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and supplying bibliographies or lists of appropriate resources (i.e., electronic resources).

The Library observes the American Library Association (ALA) guidelines in regard to the confidentiality of Library records. The circulation records and other records that identify a patron name with specific materials are held in confidence. The Library staff will not disclose the name of a person who has a particular item checked out.

The Library follows the provisions of the United States Copyright Law. Under no circumstances will the Library duplicate or place on reserve, material in violation of the Copyright law.
